William 'Dow' McDaniel, 92, of Morristown, TN, passed away
Friday, January 23, 2009, at his home after a courageous
fight with leukemia.
He worked for many years at the State Highway Department,
and served as Road Commissioner for a number of years. He
was a faithful member of Holt’s Baptist Church, where he
served for many years on the Deacon Board. Dow loved his
church and the fellowship of his church family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Daisy
Livesay McDaniel.
He is survived by his three sons, Ronald (Mary) McDaniel,
Douglas (Mable) McDaniel, and James 'Jim' McDaniel, all of
Morristown, TN; two grandchildren, Jeff and wife Tammy,
and Michelle; six great grandchildren, Jake, Josh, Jonah,
D. J., Devin, and A’Nya.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Monday, January 26,
2009, at Holt’s Baptist Church with Rev. Hubert Bunch,
Rev. Ken Cole, and Rev. Dale Harris officiating.
Interment will follow in Holt’s Church Cemetery with the
Deacon Board serving as pallbearers. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009,
at the church.
