I recently read your posting and I have ancestors from Arkansas.I have run into a brick wall but this is what I have.
1860 census Sylamore Twp, Izard Co., Arkansas
William H. McDaniel b. 1825 Tenn m. Margery Copeland b. 1831 Tennessee
Children:
Mary McDaniel b. 1851
Cynthia McDanial b. 1853
W.A. McDaniel b. 1856
John W. McDaniel b. 1860
other children found
Henry Price McDaniel b. 1863
possibly
Elenor McDonal b. 1875
Meryetta E. McDonal b. 1876
I found Margery's maiden name on her son's John's death certificate. She also went by Margie as that is the name in 1900/1910 census and her tombstone.
This family moved to Texas but I haven't seen William since the 1860 census.I have only been able to trace Uncle John's family and by g-grandfather Henry Price's family.John and Henry married in Grayson Co., Texas and together moved later to Caddo Mills, Hunt, Texas.Henry stayed and John moved back to Whitesboro, Grayson, Texas.
If you have any info that could help me it would be appreciated.
