The Lost Is Found ~ Rumley Family ~ Sarah McDaniel

On February 26, l897, Uncle JOHN and CHARLES RUMLEY, as they are commonly called, heard from their sister that had been lost for the past 50 years. On the l6th of this month, their sister SARAH and daughter BELLE, came in from Nebraska City, Neb. It does not seem possible for them to live so close, and after 50 years in search of each other, be spared life to meet on earth once more. What a glorious meeting it was; it is not known which of them rejoiced the most. The RUMLEY family parted in the year l836, in Rush County, Ind. The Great Creator, still spares life to six remaining children; I.P. RUMLEY, 84; CHARLES, 8l and LORANZO, 72, each of Decatur County; ELIZABETH ALLEN, 76, Livingston County, Mo.; NANCY LACY, 63, Milton Vale, Cloud County, Kan.; SARAH MCDANIEL, 6l, Ottawa County, Neb.
It is not often you will find as many aged people in one family as in this one. The grandfather of these aged ones lived to see the good old age of l08 years. May each of them live to enjoy many more pleasant meetings with each other, and may they always know where each other is from this time on through their remaining days.
--A FRIEND.
