In the name of God Amen,
I, Zachariah McDaniel being in a low State of Body but in sound mind and memory have thought proper to constitute this my last will and testament.
First, I recommend by Soul unto the Lord that first gave it and my body to be buried in a decent manner. And as to my wordly goods to be left as follows: that (it) is my desire they should be kept on the plantation for the support of my family but if the executors cannot make out to pay my just debts they may sell so much of my property as will pay them off.
I ?? unto my beloved wife Lyda (?? this looks like Lyda but could be Syda, also could be Lydia but I do not see an āiā) McDaniel all my property both ?? and personal -- During her life or widowhood & after she dies or marries then it to be equally divided between all my children.
This I acknowledge to be my last will and testament, I appoint my beloved wife, Lyda McDaniel, loving son James McDaniel & William Capell, Executors to this my last will & testament. Signed & sealed in the presence of us this 2nd day of February 1795.
