Looking for a McCutcheon connection to the McFarland's listed below - my Great Great Grandmother was a Mary McFarland, married to a John McCutcheon. Their son William was my Great Grandfather. Samuel McCutcheon listed below on passenger list for 1891 was his brother. I have 3 different birth dates for William (1867 -1872) but no birth registration has ever been found, nor for any Samuel McCutcheon with parents named above. No marriage registration has ever been found for John and Mary either. I am thinking that Mary may be connected to David McFarland (sister??), Grandfather of Samuel McFarland who emigrated in 1930.
Thomas McFarland & Samuel McCutcheon arrived Quebec from Londonderry aboard the Parisian - left Londonderry July 10, 1891- both farm labourers bound for Paris....... I assume Thomas McFarland may have been a cousin. Passenger list is not terribly clear - they are either both listed as 17 years old OR just as adults......
Samuel McFarland, his wife Cassie (Catherine) and a sister Eliza Jane emigrated to Canada in 1930...... There was another sister Mary who would marry a Robert Wilson and also end up in Paris, Ontario, Canada but do not know if she married in Ireland or Canada.
