Sorry for the delay. I have been in touch with Kathleen Branner and she has done a lot of work on the McCurren side of our family. My grandmother was Margaret Jane Keyes, daughter of Mary Catherine (Kate) McCurren and James P. Keyes. I believe she (my grandmother) was one of ten children. She was born in Stoutsville and moved to KC. Ks. around 1910. Kate McCurren was one of four children born to Mary Hughes Conley McCurren. Her half brother was John Conley. Her other brothers were your relatives. Owen McCurren was their father. Kathleen Branner has traced the Hughes back to Ireland. Owen McCurren remains somewhat a mystery to me. I know that he died in St. Louis, and the family later moved to the Stoutsville area. Also the Keyes side of the family is somewhat fuzzy. Little if any information. I will write more later. I am hoping to receive additonal information from K. Branner someday soon.
