My family came from ireland between 1863 and 1867. My great great great grandfather was John Mccurley, born in Antrim in 1831. He married Mary Mc Ateer and had 7 children: Jane Ann, Francis, Mary, John jnr*, Bridgit, Elizabeth and Sarah. John died in 1900 aged 68 and his wife Mary, died in 1904 aged 72. Frank(Francis) and John jnr wer miners and are buried at Brooms.
*John McCurley jnr then married Mary Ann Quinn and had, Roger (1890-1961), Frank (1898-1979), John* (1900-1957) and Florrie(1902-1968).
John* married M. Simmons and had Madge, Jacky, Mary, Florrie, Sheila, Billy, Robert*, Kevin and Raymond.
*Robert then married Margaret Douglas Whyte Davidson in 1960 and had two sons, Fergus(bn 1961) and Robin(bn 1964). Fergus then married Gwendoline Wallace(bn 1965) in 1989 and had two children, myself, Laura Marie (bn 1990)and Megan Elizabeth(bn 1995).
