Charles MCCUMBER, Lyons, Wayne Co, NY

My 3Ggrandfather, Charles MCCUMBER, born 1815 in Rhode Island, married Phoebe M. (aka Melissa). As of the 1850 Census for Phoenix, Oswego, NY, they had 6 children. Charles, Edwin, Eugene, Josephine, Ida, and Victoria. In the 1860 Census, they are listed in Lyons, Wayne Co NY. Edward, Charles, and Eugene all served in the Civil War, apparently lying about their ages to enlist. Eugene, my 2Ggrandfather, was a bugle boy. He died at the age of 27 in 1876 from consumption as a result of his Civil War Service. He had one son, William James. Trying to locate other descendants of Charles and Phoebe. Willing to share.

Cathy
