Shirley, have you seen this website?

"The Ancestors of Samuel Blair are:
Gr. Gr. Grandparents: Brice Blair (1600-?) and Esther Peden
Gr. Grandparents: Daniel Blair (1634-1704) and Ganet Drummond
Grandparents: Samuel Blair (1667-1754) and Martha Campbell Lyle
Parents: Daniel Blair (1720-1808) and Margaret McCullough
Samuel's brother Daniel who married Jenny Locke was the father of Patrick Blair and share the same ancestry."

I have been researching the McCullough line for just a short time. There was a Samuel McCullough, born about 1749 in Scotland married to an Elizabeth McCrory, born about 1762 in Ireland. I believe their son, William born between 1780 and 1790 in South Carolina, is my lineage but not 100% certain. William married Isabella (unkown last name) around 1803 in South Carolina and had the following children Jane, b. 1814 in SC, Mary Ann, b. 1826 in SC, Agnes, b. 1828 in SC, Leander, b. 1837 in Indiana, Elizabeth, b. 1838 possibly Indiana, and MARGARET M. b. about 1845 possibly in Indiana. This McCullough line originates in Ireland, emigrates to South Carolina, moves to Gibson County, Indiana then to Perry and Randolph counties in Illinois. I believe there also McCulloughs that left South Carolina and went to Putnam County, Indiana. I can assure you though that every surname you have mentioned has found it's way to Perry and Randolph counties in Illinois is some form or another.
