James L. Wetzel was murdered by his cousin, Felix Munshour, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Munshour,in Fred. Co. MD in 1879. Who are James' parents? One of his sisters, Margaret Jane Shorb signed a death cert. for another sister, Anna Mariah Valentine (3rd wife of Elias) and said their mother was Lucinda McCullough. Lucinda (McCullough) Wetzel is on Fred. Co. MD 1850-1880 census but not with a husband. This death cert. also said their father was Edwin Wetzel. One can only hope she knew who her parents were! So if I use the cousin angle and McCullough is correct. Lucinda was either sister of Elizabeth Munshour or Elizabeth was a Wetzel. Elizabeth was born 1808-1881 and on 1880 census says both of her parents born PA. On 1880 census, Lucinda is living with Elias and Anna Mariah and says she and parents born MD. Lucinda was born abt 1820 either in OH or MD. Is anyone missing a McCullough girl(s) born 1808 and around 1820? Thank you.
