John McCulloch was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1807. He was a tailor by trade. He came to Quebec and married Martha Weare in North Hatley Feb 20, 1844. John set up a tailor's shop in Compton, Quebec. John & Martha had 3 children; John, Daniel & Martha before she died Nov 23, 1844. Could anyone tell me more about John or Martha's parentage, about their lives or children? John then married Desdemona Stimson who was born in 1810 in Ontario. They were married in the Anglican Church in Compton, Quebec. John and "Desta" had three children. William Henry (1851-1929); Quartus Donald (1855-1906); Julia 1846 died young). William Henry and Quartus spent most of their adult lives in Toronto.
Their were lots of Stimsons living in Compton, Quebec. Does anyone know Desta's parentage. I know about her son William Henry. Please help me with Quartus Donald. Thanks
