A quick glance at the census documents for Jefferson County shows a Thomas McCullOUGH, aged 30, in the 1920 census (Series T625, Roll 25, page 41) with his 28 year old wife Aubry or Ruby(??). No kids. He is born in Alabama.

There are several Thomas McCullochs in Franklin County, and I have been in touch with some of their descendents. No Thos. Lees, tho.

There are lots of Sorrells in the Alabama census, the 1860 one for Jefferson County has a Mary J. Sorrell, aged 14, the daughter of William B. Sorrell, aged 37. He was born in GA (Series M653, Roll 25, p. 324). Several of these kids have "exotic" names, so if her name was actually Mary Jacquelyn it would fit right in w/ this family. Do these dates work for you?

tom.
