McCullar Family Genealogy Forum
Hi, Don't know if you already have this info, but thought I would give it to you anyway.I have an 1850 Union Co.census book and it shows a Samuel or Lemuel Harper with family in Cornie Township.I'm not sure where the boundary lines for Cornie were in 1850,but now that is the Three Creeks area.If you look on a Union Co.map,Hwy 15(the Haynesville Hwy);Three Creeks is about halfway down to stateline.Samuel/Lemuel is listed as age 41,b.in Geo.(?); wife,Mary,37,b.in same; their children: Malinda,17,b.same;Sarah,17,b.same(I would say they are twins,ha);Mary,15,b.in Ala;W---,
12,b.in Ala;David?,10,b.same;E--l-i-?,4,b.same;and J--.J.,1,b.same.The 'W'is probably William, the 'E'looks like Eveline maybe and the 'J' looks like an abbr.for Jonathan. The Hills live on one side of them and I can't make out the neighbors name on the other side.I know it's not McCullar. There were some McCullars north of El Dorado in Franklin Township, which now is Calion,a Benjamin McCullar and family. There were some McKellars in Cornie Township, but I don't see any with the names of who you have listed except for Mary McKellar, age 9 in 1850.I will post the McKellar/McCullar info if you or anyone else is interested....I also have some Union Co.cemetery books and found a few McCullars within 12 miles of the Three Creeks area, but still none with the same names as your listing. There are some Harpers, too, but most of them are at two cemeteries on the eastern side of the county, between Strong and Huttig.
I'm trying to find a Jane McCullar,b.1852,Tuscaloosa,Ala. She married a William Blansett, son of Evan P.Blansett and Delilah C.PRICE Blansett.Jane and William had 6 children. I would like more info on Jane's parents and siblings and on her children. Thanks in advance, Dawn
