My husbands GGrandmother was Lillian McCue Courtright b1880
D1970 I am trying to find her parents or siblings. In 1892-3 she and 7 siblings was abandoned at the Bethel Childrens home in Smithfield/Bradley Ohio. Lillian always stated that her mother was passing through when she abandoned them. None were adopted, they all just left the home when they came of age. The boys till of age were "farmed out" as labor on the farms in the area. Lillian was never able to find her siblings. Talking to one of my husbands cousins who spent alot of time with Lillian stated that she had an uncle she saw struck by lightning and die when she was a small child. She also stated her mother was born in WVa and Father in Ohio.
