Barbary McCubbins was James 2nd wife. She married James in Jan 1853 in Marion Co., Oregon
This was also Barbary's 2nd marriage. She was married first to Daniel Lewis in Missouri. They had at least one child
Rebecca Elizabeth Lewis born 1846 Missouri. Barbary's maiden name was Allen according to Rebecca's death cert.
James was born in VA in about 1810-1813 father and mother are not yet known.
It appears that Barbary and James had two children together Ruth b. 1854 and Ellem b. 1856. The other children are from
James' first marriage. LDS ancestry file lists the wife only as China and has 8 children including the 6 of the ones you listed.
Barbary was married one more time to Nelson Lewis in 1884 in Marion Co., Oregon. She is buried in the Lewis Cem. Silverton,
Oregon with grandchild Chester L. Mohr.
The person listed as Samuel H. Kroop in the marriage record for Nancy McCubbin is most likely Samuel H. Stroop, Barbary's
son-in-law and Rebecca husband. Samuel and Rebecca are my wife's 3rd great grandparents.
