Pamela, your best bet would be to go into the SSDI and find him there. He would have worked under SS. You can go in to find this and print a copy of a generated letter to mail to Soc. Sec. for a copy of his org. application. That will have the names of his parents and his place of birth. I have done this a number of times and it was worth every cent. Good luck!
