Hello,
I am researching JANET McCREDIE b 24-7-1805 in Greenock. Parents THOMAS McCREDIE spirit dealer in Glasgow, mother SALLY GAMBEL or GAMMEL. JANET married ANTHONY HAY who was a shephead, married 8-6-1824. Children SARAH b 5-5-1825, JOHN b 14-1-1828, THOMAS b 7-4-1830, WILLIAM b 2-8-1832, JANET b 3-3-1835, JANE b 1837. They immigrated to Australia on the Portland in 1838. Does anyone have any connection or information concerning this family.
