My wife is from the Robert T. McCrea line, abrother of Thompson Clark McCrea. Their parents were:
William Clark McCrea, b-1803 d-1874.
Nancy Adams, b-1811 d-1873.
William Clark McCrea's parents were:
John McCrea Jr., b-1776 d-1861
Elizabeth Reed, b-1778 d-1847
John McCrea Jr's parents were
John McCrea Sr. b-1753 d-1777
Jean/Jane Porter
John McCrea's father may have been a Samuel McCrea, but is a link that has not been confirmed.
To date no one has been able to make a solid connection of the McCreas to Scotland. It is believed that our mCCrea line came from Ireland where they were Scotch/Irish and before that Lowland Scotish.
We have been to Black Lick, PA to try and dig up more information and have a bit more.
William Clark and his family are buried in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA as is John McCrea Jr and his family.
Good luck and enjoy your trip to Ireland.

Bill Haas
