The John Porter McCrea who was the son of William Clark McCrea and Nancy Adams married first Matilda Bonnett (1835-1894) and second Rebecca Rowe (c1833-1897). John Porter McCrea died 12 OCT 1909 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA.
The John McCrea who married Harriet appears to be on a different line. I don't find a Harriet born in Germany or the surname Bigham in my database of the descendants of Samuel McCree/McCrea who married Elizabeth McClellan (g-grandfather of William Clark McCrea).
