Hi Cousin Duane!I am sorry but I don't have the information you requested.I will share what I know, but unfortunately it isn't a lot. What I have is pretty much from family records passed down to me by McCrea cousins.Gilbert I'm sure you know, was the half brother of the famous Jane McCrea who was killed by the Indians.Their father was the Rev. James McCrea whose dad was William McCrea, an immigrant from Ireland.Gilbert is buried at Huston Cemetery in Hamilton Cy OH, and his son James L. McCrea is buried at Black Oak Cemetery in Pella IA.James's sisters were Margaret "Peggy" McCrea b. 17 Apr 1784,and Catherine McCrea b. 10 Jun 1790.James was married twice. He and Henrietta Hoffman McCrea had 9 children including my great-grandmother Elizabeth McCrea Lockart.James and Elizabeth "Betsy" Labaugh McCrea had 7 children.
That is pretty much what I have.I would be interested in any further information you or anyone else has about these people.
Thanks,Larry
