Hi, D.
IGI has: Mary J. Babbidge m. Nathan MacRay, January 6, 1854 at Newark, NJ.
Roots Web has: Mary Babbidge b. Harrington, Washington, Maine; d. Orange, Essex, New Jersey; Daughter of Courtney Babbidge b. 1781 and Mercy Joyce, b. 1785
So, I guess Nathan McCrea did marry Mary "Joyce" Babbidge.
I have been to the Old Burying Ground and St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery in Orange. The Old Burying Ground is in 'good' shape but the Episcopal Cemetery is in extremely poor condition-no care given and heavily vandalized. Only a few stones remain. Either McCrea was "moved" to St. Mark's which is adjacent; or the transcriber included him in the Old Ground in error.(He is listed at both places.)
You may find his wife interred at Rosedale Cemetery in Orange??
I am very interested in what you have on the 'hat industry in the Oranges'; my family were hatters in the area from before 1730.
Cheers, Carol
