Do you have genealogical information about her family of origin?I know that she was the daughter of the Rev. James McCrea and Mary Graham of Lamington, NJ.However, I am seeking information about her other siblings and where they settled.
I know that John McCrea, attorney at law, Colonel of the 13th Albany County Militia, Member of the Albany committee of Correspondence, and Saratoga District Rresident was her brother. And that she was living in his household when she attempted to elope with David Jones.
I also have the following men with the surname of McCrea in the area in the 1770's and I do not know if they are related to John McCrea and Jane McCrea.
1.Alexander McCrea is assessed for real estate on the October 23rd 1779 Saratoga District Tax List.
2.James McCrea bought land in the Kayaderosseras Patent from Dirck Lefferts on March 26, 1772.
3.John McCrea purchased land in the Hudson River corridor as early as 1768.
Did any of Rev. James McCrea's other sons settle in present day Saratoga County, NY?
Did the Rev. James McCrea leave New Jersey and settle in upstate New York prior to his death in 1811?
Thank you for your help.
