Samuel Bell was the son of George Bell who was born about 1750 and married Sarah Shaw, daughter of Samuel Shaw. The Bells and Shaws lived in Montgomery County, VA until around the late 17890s to 1790. After which they moved to eastern TN. I do not know where the Bells lived before Montgomery County. Hopefully this helps.
