I saw your post for I often check the McCraw genforum for I have Tenn. & VA McCraw's back there and I see no one has tried to help you so far...I don't know if you've found anything on your Daniel McCraw yet, but if not, you need to put in some possible dates of when Daniel and siblings might have been born...There are many of us out here who would be willing to help you find what you need but we need possible dates as well as places and names...
Have you looked for these people you mention on the census records. If you find Daniel on a census as a child and his siblings there too then you most likely will have his parents names. I've found the census records are very helpful on getting your start into researching your family tree...Census records have been a blessing to me in states like Miss. in the south where so many records were destroyed during and after the Civil War with courthouse burnings...
If you will post some possible dates you may get some hits from others who might connect, hope this helps some, Kay.
