I'm descended from McCraw's who show up in Tipton Co. TN in the mid 1800s and died there but I have no idea where they are buried. I've heard they're probably buried in the Old Randolph Cem. in Tipton Co. TN which I think is near Covington, TN....
I'm interested in descendants of those posted below as to what you might know of any of them...where was Thomas Cooper McCraw's and Gabriel A. McCraw's home sites???
I descend from Thomas Cooper McCraw and wife Sarah Elizabeth Perry thru their last daughter, Sarah Elizabeth (nickname Betty) McCraw. She married Thomas H. Lamkin in Tipton Co. TN in 1869, had their oldest child, Carrie Lee Lamkin, in 1871. I'm in touch with a descendant of this oldest child. I'm from their youngest child, Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Lamkin...They moved after Carrie Lee was born to Carroll Co. VA where Thomas had grown up, he had only been in Tipton Co. TN visiting his older sister Martha Virginia Lamkin. She also had married Gabriel A. McCraw in Surry Co. NC in 1862 and they moved to Tipton Co. Tenn., it appears, shortly after the Civil War. Gabriel A. McCraw and Thomas Cooper McCraw were gr.sons of Jacob Allen McCraw and Mary Elizabeth Waller...

Martha McCraw is the sister of my g.g.grandmother, Sarah Eliz. (Bettie) McCraw Lamkin, she is also the mother of Edward E. Craig who married my g. grandmother, Lizzie Lamkin Hill. Lizzie's mother was Sarah E. (Bettie) McCraw Lamkin, wife of Thomas H. Lamkin. Edward Craig and Lizzie Lamkin were 1st cousins, their mothers were sisters. I am in touch with some cousins thru Martha McCraw Craig and in their family Bible, her middle name is Comantha, not Samantha as some have it........
