This is the information that we got from a family Bible that my husband's sister has that she got many years ago and had their grandmother start putting the family information in. Their grandmother's name is Odessie Lucrettie McCraw Clawson. She was born April 25, 1901 at Wild Cat Creek, Coke County, Texas. Her parents were Willis Larkin McCraw DOB November 10, 1874, DOD July 10, 1921 and Ell Thanie (Hux)McCraw DOB January 23, 1881 DOD August 31, 1968.
GGGrandmother was Elsie Alenith Smith married James Brandon McCraw. Moved to Coke County in 1888; Willis was 14-years old at the time; he married Ell Thanie Hux and they had a son named Willis and a daughter named Odessie which is my husband's grandmother.
Do you have any information on Willis McCraw who came from Georgia? GGrandpa was Scot Irish and Black Dutch. GGrandma Elsie Alenith Smith McCraw was 3/4 Indian (but which tribe)?
