Hi Steve! I too have McCraws of the same area, same time period. I'm having trouble with my McCraws bacause I'm not in that part of the country to find the information I need. I have Samuel McCraw married Elizabeth Lumpkin McCraw (1st cousins). Their son Samuel Moody McCraw was married to a S.E. Unknown in the 1870 Sanford/Fayette, AL, census. Samuel Moody McCraws sister Drusilla married a Threat/Threet in that area. Samuel Moody McCraw and S.E Unknown had Dollie Rosetta McCraw who married Francis Marion Thaddeus "Thad" Fowler in Lamar, AL about 1879. Dollie was born 1862 AL! S.E. Unknown is said to have died in the early part of the 1870's and Samuel Moody McCraw died in the late 1870's in Lamar. I would like to find out who S. E. Unknown was. About 1915 Dollie, Thad, and other family members moved to Seminole Co., OK. Did any of your family make the move too? Thad and Dollie [McCraw] Fowlers daughter, Mary F. "Mellie" [Fowler] Owens stayed in AL. Later, Mellie [Fowler] Owens immigrated to LA. Redus and Mellie [Fowler] Owens daughter, Notie M. [Owens] Parr. After the death of Noties husband Wm. Bradley Parr she moved to The Gideon, MO area in 1940's by her mothers sister and dead husbands brother. In the early 50's Notie moved to CA and in the late 50's to LA.
