Sarah Ann McCraw & Richard Newton Yerby--Fayette-Lamar County, AL
Posted by: Mark Yerby (ID *****4459) Date: October 23, 2003 at 12:39:53

Searching for information on parents of Sarah Ann McCraw, Jan. 6, 1860, Walker Co., AL - Apr.10, 1935, Lamar Co., AL, married Richard Newton Yerby, July 24, 1854, Fayette Co., AL - June 30, 1942, Lamar Co., AL. They were married Jan.10, 1878 in Lamar Co., AL. Both are buried at Liberty Cemetery, Crossville, Lamar Co., AL.

These are my gg-grandparents. I have a fair amount of descending information on the YERBY line, but have very little information on Sarah Ann McCraw's line.

What I do have shows Sarah's parents as William A. McCraw, b.1824, TN and Lucinda Bennett, b.1824, AL. I have them married Oct.16, 1841 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., AL. Also have 8 children listed to this couple;
Mary E.- 1845
Joseph F.- 1847
Margaret E.- 1849
M.J.- 1852
James E.M.- 1855
Rebecca- 1857
Sarah Ann- Jan.6, 1860
Ida- 1864

I am very much interested in finding out more information about this line of family.

Thank You,
Steve Yerby
