Hi Viola, it is so long since I did research in Alabama but something back in my so called mind makes me think, I found something in the AlabamaArchives about Alabama giving pensions to Civil War or as I learned to call it War Between the States or the War of Aggression when speaking to Southerners.
All of my Alabama resources have left this Vale of Tears to speak with their ancestors, I am sorry to say. Good Hunting,Carol
