Hi Lyn,

Yes this seems to help and reassure me alitte. John McCrary and Margaret Scott are my 4th Great Grandparents. Though I have both of them coming from South Carolina and Margaret's parents coming from Ireland. My 3rd Great Grandmother is Mary Ann McCrary their daughter who married twice in Lawrence County, Ohio, she was born in 1821 though and from the 1830 Census I know it only shows Margaret and young children but it does show one more child born a little after 1820 also so John may have died early 1820's. Margaret would have died sometime after the 1830 Cencus lists them as having 10 children...I have a few of their names as Mary, Nathan, Margaret, Nancy, John, Nellie...the other children names have not found yet. Yes I noticed the last name spelled differently alot but that was very common even within the same family so that doesn't ever throw me off...what line of John and Margarets children do you descend from? Alicia
