Hi, Mary,
The Nancy Ann GRAVES that you mentioned as marrying Daniel Mc(C)RANEY was the daughter of Marian/Marion F. DICKENS and John GRAVES.John GRAVES was the twin brother of my paternal 3rd great grandmother, Catherine GRAVES, children of William W. GRAVES of Lincoln County, Georgia, and his wife, Nancy ?/LOTT?/MIDDLETON?, (supposition for the maiden names of LOTT or MIDDLETON based on their having named two of their sons Lott GRAVES and Middleton GRAVES.)Catherine GRAVES married David DICKENS whom we believe is somehow closely related to Marian/Marion F. DICKENS and all of these surnames married into my HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON family that also married into my GRANTHAM - AMMONS - MYRICK - PIERCE - HATTEN - LOTT families as well as into the HERRIN - WIGGINS - AINSWORTH and BARLOW families.
Catherine GRAVES married David DICKENS and their daughter, Rebecca Jane "Jane" DICKENS/DICKINS, (found in the 1850 Covington County, Mississippi next door to her mother and just 3 or so lines away from where her future husband, Isom/Isham Daniel HERRINGTON, was found in the home of John Mc(C)RANEY, as mentioned above.
In info below on the family of John GRAVES is the marriage of Alexander GRAVES to Edie Marcina/Marcena HERRINGTON, sister of the aforementioned Isom/Isham Daniel HERRINGTON, children of Harriet STUCKEY and Enoch HERRINGTON, my 3rd great grandparents.Enoch was the brother of William HERRINGTON, Jr. who married Cynthia "Sina" GRANTHAM, also my 3rd great grandparents.
The Daniel Mc(C)RANEY that you are searching for is, I'm sure, closely related to this family group.
See the following information.
Sincerely,
Bellinda Myrick-Barnett
