Thank-you Kitty for your prompt reply. I would appreciate any info about the McCrea's you could send. You answered so many questions for me in your reply. Sometimes I think I have the answers to questions, but they only lead further down the road. I have not seen the article by Mary Masterson, or if I have it wasn't credited to her. Your are right about my descendancy. Michael and Elizabeth were my gr.gr.gr. grandparents. A great aunt of mine wrote in a letter to my grangfather that her grandmother's name was "Eliza Caldwell" 1st wife of Michael. All historical records I've seen call her Elizabeth Lolly.
I'm glad you had an opportunity to visit Ireland. Too bad records are lost. I was very happy to go to Eagle Rock in July and find Patrick's and Flora's tombstones still intact. We were able to photograph them and read them by using chalk on the raised letters. Flora's was interesting in that it said; "In memory of Flora consort of Patrick McCrea who departed this life" but the dates were not clear.
Thanks again, You have my address.
Frank Woods
