Hi!
I found Emma's death certificate at the Family Search Pilot Project. I'm assuming you have as well, as the information is the same as your postings.

Do you have access to census records? I found Emma in 1880 in Parker Co. TX. She's with her father, John; her mother, Mary and several brothers and sisters. John says he was born in Arkansas. Emma is listed as 5 years old. In 1900 John (listed as J.M.) and Mary have moved to Houston, Harris Co., Texas. Sure enough, there's a little brother, Hugh A. McCracken, born 1882. This time John says he was born in Mississippi.

In 1910, it looks as if Mary has died and John has remarried a woman named Dora. They are still in Houston.

I checked the Family Search for John McCracken deceased in Harris Co. There he was, deceased in 1955 in Harris Co. Turns out his full name is John Marshall McCracken. And a search of that name turns up several of Emma's siblings, including Hugh Alexander (deceased 1960 in Harris Co), and her sister, Margaret May Shipp. The state the mother's name is either Mary Lee or Mary Josephine Winborn. Margaret May's death certificate says she was born in Arkansas.

I checked the 1870 census in Arkansas and found who I THINK is John Marshall McCracken. They're in Madison Co. AR. He's listed as 16 years old, with brother Gordie, 15, sister Mathilda, 14. It looks like he's with his mother (Eliza) and stepfather Henry Smith.

In 1860 I find Robert McCracken, 37, in Madison Co., AR with wife, Eliza, 30, and John E., 8, Marion G (Gordie?), Mathilda J., 4, and Wm. D., 2. That's them.

Interestingly, there are a lot of McCrackens in Madison Co. AR. Perhaps they all moved together from TN?

All of this need verifying, but may give you a pretty good lead. If you don't have access to any of this, re-post here and I will transcribe. (I have hurt my right hand, so typing is a bit tricky, or I would have done it in this posting).

Good luck!
