Hello Judy Lee!

Wow! I came here to post a help note, and look what I find! Yes, I am connected. The Hugh Scott McCracken you list, b.1848, married the sister of my gg-grandmother. Hugh m. Charity Ellen Reish, 10/10/1872. (I have Charity's obituary, which gave that information.) According to the 1900 census, Hugh and Charity were living then in Washington Township, Miami Co., OH, with 3 children: John C., age 26, Thomas E., age 24, and Bertha A., age 17.
Hugh d. 1909, Charity 1923. (As I'm re-reading the obituary, I see that it says they had 4 children, but it is somewhat confusingly written, and I can't tell who the 4th child is. It appears that daughter Bertha must have married someone named Reichman, as there is a Reichman grand-child listed-Luther Reichman. Another g-child is Robert McCracken, but it doesn't make clear whose son he is.)

I'm assuming that your main interest is in the McCrackens, and I'm sorry, but I know nothing of Hugh's ancestry. I'm trying to get somewhere with my Reish line, as all information dries up after my gg-grandmother's (and Charity's) parents. If you are interested, I can give you those parents, as well as other siblings of Charity's. Let me know.

A cousin-in-law (??)
Patty
