McCoy Journal (Theodore McCoy ?)

I found an old journal in some of my husbands grandmothers stuff and one of them is a handwritten journal from a Theodore W McCoy (or thats what I make it out to be). Most of it is dated from around 1861 to 1863 and he has a few different locations listed. Looks like a few are Camp ? Tennesse, Camp Morton Indiana and Bridgeport Alabama. I was just wondering if any of you would have a clue of who this may be? That I know of, it is not a relative to my husbands grandmother but then again I have no clue how she came to have them. There are a few other journals that are pretty much empty but the front was filled out like maybe they were to be used by him for school purposes, along with some regular books from the late 1800's. Thanks for any help in advance.
