I always thought it amusing that census records reported such a wide variety of ages (or birth years) for any one individual. Then a few years ago I came across some court records - a case that went on and on for the years about 1850 - 1860. In depositions people were asked questions including their age. I was surprised at how many answered that they thought they were about xxx years old - obviously not knowing for sure exactly when they were born.
I suspect that birthday cakes with candles were not a big thing in those days!! If a family did not keep a family Bible to record births it could be that those birthdates were lost in oblivion.
In the 1850 census for Wyandot County, Ohio there was Augustus Stevens who was b. 1804 in Maryland. There was also P.W. Stevens also in Wyandot b. 1820 in Maryland. They are the only ones that I'm seeing who could be the age to be Catherine's father and who were b. in Maryland. In Pickaway there was Mary Stephens (a widow) b. 1805 in Maryland - who could conceivably be Catherine's mother.
In Pickaway County there was Abraham Stevens 26 yo b. Ohio who could be your Catherine's brother - if she was from Pickaway. And a few others who could be siblings.
