Descendants of Ammon McCoy (b.1812) and Nancy Vorgenson McCoy
I am looking for any information on the decendants of Ammon McCoy and Nancy Vorgenson who were my maternal G-G-Grand parents. John Harvey McCoy and Addie T. Vandergraft (Vandergrift) were my G-Grandparents, and Samuel Everett McCoy (Breckenridge County, KY) and Eva Lee (Dowell) McCoy (Jefferson County, KY) were my maternal Grandparents. My parents were Thomas Dover Burnett and Margie Lois McCoy.
I searched for several days (as has my daughter)looking for information before it dawned on me to go get the family Bibles where all of the information is confirmed (yes, I know). My grandfather also used the McCoy clan signature of capitol M lowercase c (with 2 small vertical lines under the lowercase c) capitol C (McCoy). Addie Vandergraft McCoy and their 8 year old daughter (Eguna?)are buried in the McCoy family cemetery in Breckenridge County, Kentucky, and although another search says John Harvey is also buried there, I can find no record of it in the Breckenridge County death certificates or the McCoy Cemetery Register.
I also can only find 2 of my aunts listed as born in Breckenridge County, where as the Fisher Family website on here says that all of the children of Samuel Everett and Eva Lee McCoy were born in Breckenridge County, KY. I hope this helps your search, and will be glad to receive any more information and help provide as much information as I can on my branch of the family. I am also trying to find information on any reunions for this branch of the McCoy clan. I will be waiting to hear from anyone with any information.
Thanks,
Marianne (MaryAnn) Burnett
