The 1850 Census records show:
1850 Census of District 45, Harrison County, Indiana, 31 Oct 1850:
Andrew McCown age 56, male, white, born in Pennsylvinia
Sarah McCown (wife) age 55 female, white, born Penn
Elizabeth McCown, (dau) age 22 female, white born Indiana
Michal McCown, (son) age 21 male, born Indiana
Mary A. McCown, (dau) age 18 female, born indiana.
This Mary A. matches the info on your Mary Ann. However, Alexander McCown and Susannah Unsel did not have a son Andrew McCown.
I can not tie Andrew to any other family. However, there are two other McCown's from PA in Indiana at the same time that could be related. These are Edward McCown born abt 1783 in PA and Abraham McCown born abt 1892 in PA. The three could be brothers but I have no data that would connect them.
