McCown's in Ireland -- early 1700's

Many of us are trying to find our early Ulster Scots McCowns. Here is a possible source.

http://proni.nics.gov.uk/records/emigrate.htm

On that page, I found the following entries for resources in the Public Search Room:

Immigrants to New England 1700-1775, contains an alphabetical list compiled by Ethel Stanwood Bolton.

Lists of Emigrants to America 1635-1776, contains lists of passengers, including Irish emigrants, who departed from English ports.

There are two main McCown families that I have been researching who might be listed in those sources. One is the Francis McCown family and the other is the Alexander McCown/McCoun family (father of the 6 brothers).

Has anyone seen these sources before? Is anyone already planning a trip to Ireland? I wanted to check before I started writing PRONI.

Thanks,

Steve McCown
