I am interested in finding out more information on the history of the McCowan's.
I am the youngest of 4 brothers who all live in Dunoon, Argyll, Scotland. My Father ( George, Kerr McCowan) also lives here. His father was raised in a village called Clachaig in Glen Lean some 8/9 miles from Dunoon. My Grand Father was born and raised in this village in one of 5 McCowan families who lived there around the early part of the 20th century. My Fathers brother emigrated to Canada in the 60,s and may have been in contact with Bruce McCowan at an earlier time.
