I am decended from John A Johnson and Susan Kimble.
Son William A Johnson and Grace Tubbs were the parents of my grandmother Myrtle Mae Johnson b 1900 and Edward D Larson b 1895 in Lake Benton MN.( he was illigitimate I found out before my mother died in 1993, we are searching for his lineage as well.)
I am the dau of Marion Mae Larson.b 1924 in Luvern Mn who married my father Alan R Kreimier.I have the McCOURTIE GENEAOLOGY book that William published in 1914. I do not have the original from 1908. I have the envelope as well. It was sent to my grandmother Myrtle M Johnson % William A Johnson in Lake Rock Iowa. I too, have many pictures now,some labled most not. I would love to share pictures and information, and find out who some of them are.
I also have a Johnson family geneology book given to us before one of the Johnson Family Picnics on Lake McKennan in the 70's. Ihave started to transcribe it onto my ancestry tree but it is a very daunting task. Now I have the McCourtie book. I was VERY pleased it still exists.
My father died in 2005 but he had remarried just 18 mo's befre he died and his wife would not let us in the house. Yes it was one of those marriage of which everyone fears. However she did not destroy it for which I will be eternally gratfull for that if nothing else.
Please let me know where I can attach these photos that I am hoping that we can ID.
