Margaret Eleanora (Elinor) McCosh (b 1 May 1867 at Dalry) died, according to my info, on 28 Sept 1943. She married John Craig (b 22 Dec 1857, New Cumnock) in March 1889 in Dalry. They were my g-grandparents; their son, James, was my grandfather. They farmed at Innergeldie Farm, Comrie, Perthshire, John having moved from Ayrshire when he was a lad.

I have copy of an interesting long obit of John Craig from the Strathearn Herald 8 May 1915, if you are interested.

Margaret's ancestors seem to be:

PARENTS: James Manson McCosh (christened 23 July 1839, Dalry) - "writer and banker" 1871 census and Margaret Eliza ? born Dalry.

GRANDPARENTS: James McCosh (christened 4 July 1802, Muirhouse, Dalry)"writer" and Martha Dunlop Kirkwood (b 4 Feb 1812, Beith).

G-GRANDPARENTS: James McCosh (b Muirhouse).
Andrew Kirkwood, who married Margaret Wylie on 29 Jan 1782 at Dalry [Some doubt about these two: they may be g-g-grandparents].

I have quite a lot of info on Margaret McCosh's descendants, if you would like to indicate which branch interests you.

Regards,
Jim.
