The sources I've seen are split on the spelling of his name: Portrait and biographical record of Clay, Ray, Carroll, Chariton, and Linn Counties, Missouri and Federal Census reports of 1900, 1910, and 1920 use "ick" while the Census reports of 1870 and 1930 use "ack." I kept using the one I started with.
One of Joseph McCormick's daughters was Daisy, born in 1886. She married James Louis Wright. One of their children, Joseph McCormick Wright, married Elizabeth Lillian Whitmer. Two of their sons are still living; the third, Charles William Wright, was the father of my son-in-law, Thomas Cain Wright.
I see Helen listed on the 1920 and 1930 censuses. She is Helen Roble on the 1920 census.
I would love more famiy information.
