Marge, For our branch of the McConnon family we know that Patrick McConnon arrived from Ireland in April 1854 and settled in Nesquehoning, Carbon Co. Pa. He married a Jane Crossen shortly thereafter. His naturalization papers at the Co. Courthouse don't give a location in Ireland, but his two witnesses do give their origin as Co. Meath and Co. Monaghan respectively. Jane may have been from Co. Cavan. Patrick was born around 1818 and returned to Ireland and died either in Ireland or Scotland in the early to mid 1890s. Don't know a connection with MA. Hope this helps, wish you success in your search.
