The McConnico name
Posted by: LaQuetta Moore-Perry (ID *****3621) Date: February 21, 2008 at 06:16:47

My name is LaQuetta Moore-Perry and I have been very curious about my family’s name. My mother’s name is Linda McConnico-Moore and my Grandfather’s name is David McConnico and my Great Grandparents were Grandville and Josephine McConnico. Grandville was a sharecropper in Selma, Alabama. I know that his grandfather and possibly his father were slaves in Alabama. I remember that my grandfather, David said that they got the name McConnico from their owners, so I am trying to contact as many McConnico’s as possible to see where their name originated from. My Grandfather, David told me when I was younger that anyone who carried the name McConnico is either related to my family or the family who owned my ancestors. I am wondering if you have any family that lived in Alabama. Any information you could provide about the McConnico name would be most helpful.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration; I look forward to hearing from you soon.
