Abner Wilson McConnell (1803-1886) is my 3ggf and according to Joel McConnell's book, "The McConnell Families of Davidson's Creek", he was the son of Thomas McConnell (1780-1858) and an unknown woman with the last name of Wilson. However, on Abner's marriage license to his second wife, Susan Wingate Stowe, he states Robert Wilson and Ruth McConnell (m. William Knox in 1806) were his parents. I think it's likely Robert Wilson was the son of Samuel Wilson and his third wife, Margaret Jack. Does anyone have any information on this?
