Thank you for your reply. There's a little mystery here. I think Jacob, Elizabeth, and their children moved to Macomb, County, MI in 1836 when Carrie (youngest child) Pickel was three. Jacob Pickel, husband of Elizabeth McConnell Pickel, died in MI Oct.7, 1838, at age 47. She just dropped out of the picture after that, and the children lived with relatives in MI I didn't see anything about her until Carrie's death certificate of 1910. That lists her parents, Jacob Pickel and Elizabeth McConnell Pickel Fenner. I don't know anything about the man named Fenner, whom she married after she was widowed. Eliz. Sr. was, no doubt dead, when Carrie died. I'd really like to see the deeds if you run across them, and any other information and dates that you might find. I'd appreciate anything, especially, on Elizabeth McConnell Pickel and her life with Jacob Pickel in Warren County NJ.I'd also like to know how many, and who their children were besides the one I know of, Carrie, who was my great grandmother. I'm hoping to find Elizabeth Pickel, born in NJ in 1825, but lived in Macomb Co. She married John Mann in MI. He was also b. in NJ. I think she is the Pickel's oldest daughter. I don't know if Jacob and Eliz. had a will in MI, but they weren't there long enoughfor him to make one before he died, I wouldn't think. Thank you so much!Helen
