My G-Grandfather was Gabriel McConnell [sometimes called Gilbert] who died 23 September, 1902 in Glasgow. On his death certificate, it stated that he was 63 years of age, was born in Ireland,[ ca 1839] and his parents were Robert and Martha [Williamson] McConnell. By family tradition they may have lived in Co Derry. Robert was listed as "farmer". There is also a family hunch that Robert may have originated near Strabane, Co Tyrone.
Any knowledge of this Robert and Martha in Northern Ireland in the period 1810-1850?
