I have a William McConnell, b circa 1850, wife unknown. Son of James A McConnell (1823-1892) and Mary Quinn (1825-1905). Looks like his children were named Beavin McConnell and Bertha McConnell. Ring a bell?

Also another William born 1878.

Also, my late Aunt's address notes include James Egbert MD Moosejaw Saskatewan Kind of sounds like Eggenberg
