I too have yet to find a George and Mary McConnell b. 1811 and 1815, respectively, in 1841 Scottish census records. The 1851 Brant Twp., Bruce County census record shows their four children, aged 2 through 6 were all born in Scotland. If true, they emigrated between 1849 and 1851. Just prior to George and Mary's census record is William and Jane McConnell. But unlike the Scottish Presbyterian George and Mary, William, Jane (b 1809 and 1811) and family are listed a Episcoplians from Ireland. Go Figure!
